Women’s Equality Day coming up

Women Equality Day, August 26th
On August 26, 1920, after waging a 72-year campaign, women in the United States won the right to vote.
The National Women’s History Project has developed a 32-page WOMEN WIN THE VOTE GAZETTE that includes the inspiring and challenging history of the movement that expanded American democracy to include women.
The GAZETTE is illustrated with graphics and pictures of this important campaign, along with profiles of 85 of the women who lead this movement,as well as profiles of some the men who helped them.
At a cost of $5.00 for 25 GAZETTES this special resource belongs in every classroom, as well as a keepsake at any event that celebrates and recognizes the importance of women winning the right to vote.
