An Update on the O Magazine Request

Last month, O Magazine contacted the NWHP for information about plans for National Women’s History Month 2010.  We contacted our network and within three days received over one hundred reports about programs and events that are already being planned throughout the country.  Included are events tied to the 90th anniversary of the woman suffrage movement and passage of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution.

2010 is going to be an amazing year!  We sent all the reports on to O Magazine and we hope they will be as inspired as we are.  In the meantime, we’ll be publicizing these and other events ourselves through our website, programs, and new gazette, “Writing Women Back into History.”

If you are making plans to celebrate women’s history in March, or later in the year, you might consider hosting a speaker from our  Distinguished Speakers Bureau.  Experts in many phases of women’s lives, including the suffrage movement, are available to help celebrate and educate throughout the year.

As part of our 30th anniversary celebration, members of our  Distinguished Speakers Bureau will be conducting a series of presentations throughout the country.  These experienced educators and authors bring a passionate understanding of what it means to write women back into history.  Their expertise would be a great addition to any women’s history or American history program.

Remember that we also have an amazing list of Women’s History Performers  & National Presenters on our website.
