History and literature come to life!

History and literature come to life! Travel through the centuries to meet women who offer an authentic slice of life in various time periods: Elizabethan courtier Lady Anne Bacon, Chicago Fire survivor and philanthropist Mary Sturges, Victorian schoolmistress Mrs. Wakefield, and Arthurian storyteller Ceridwen.

Chris Brookes, veteran teacher, performer, and Humanities Council Chautauquan, breathes life into history and literature through costumed re-creations of historical and literary characters. Custom-designed, research-based programs are suitable for schools, libraries, retirement centers, and community groups. Audiences of all ages are entertained and educated by her one-woman presentations.
