If we’ve learned anything from history we’ve learned that women must empower themselves to make a difference.  On March 31, 2011 the University of Wisconsin School of Continuing Education will host its second annual Women Leaders Conference – Not Business as Usual.

The event kicks off at the Pfister Hotel in downtown Milwaukee from 8am-1:15pm. The conference celebrates women who have pioneered their fields and uncovers their proven methods for success. Attendees will learn from accomplished women, discover what inspires them and harness the energy to empower themselves.

Highlights of this year’s conference include keynote speaker and UWM alum Beth Pritchard – Alshaya North American Advisor, and former President and CEO of Bath & Body Works and Dean & Deluca.

In addition to the energizing keynote presentation, there will be boundless opportunities to network with colleagues and build beneficial relationships. A variety of educational seminars and panel discussions focus on important topics including:

• Intergenerational Leadership
• Women of Engineering
• Women Leaders Across Cultures
• Managing in a Man’s World
• Making a Difference
• Guys Who Get It
• Creating Opportunities for Women
• The Importance of Mentoring
• Removing Barriers and Building Bridges

Attendees are also invited to participate in an enriching encore event following the main program. From 1:30-3pm, the free post-conference session will expand on career development strategies.
