Bringing  Women's History into the Classroom
30% Discount


When we began our work in 1980, our primary focus was America's classrooms. We discovered that very little was being taught about the contributions of women. We wanted to encourage teachers to include women in their classroom discussions of history, geography, science, math, and all other subjects. Our plan was to designate a special time on the school calendar to focus on women's lives and contributions, which resulted in National Women's History Week.

In 1987 this focus was expanded to the entire month of March as National Women's History Month. Now, 30 years later, the need to include women's live and contributions in America's classroom continues. Please join us in helping teachers and librarians incorporate women's history into the classroom by donating a women's history kit, poster, or DVD to a school in your community.
