Mother's Day 2010

Dear Friend,
Over twenty years ago, one of our supporters suggested that we consider doing a special Mother's Day card as a gift idea to honor the special women in our lives. It was a great idea and we've been doing special Mother's Day cards and gifts every since.
The celebration of Mother's Day was inspired by women's movements to improve environmental and community conditions mothers faced during Civil War times.

It also has origins in peace advocacy movements appealing to women after the Franco-Prussian War. (Consider taking the Mother's Day quiz on our website).
We are asking you to give the gift of legacy for future generation, while honoring special women in your life. Your tax-deductible contribution given in honor of important women in your life supports the National Women’s History’s Project’s vital work of celebrating, recognizing, and honoring women’s accomplishments throughout history. Your gift ensures that the inspiring story of women’s lives will be included in the amazing legacy of our history.
For a $25 donation, we will send a Mother’s Day card to a special woman you would like to honor. For a $50 donation, we will send the Mother’s Day Card and a $30 NWHP Women's History Gift Certificate or a Circle of Life Pin.
You can also make a donation in memory of someone who touched your life. For a donation of $25, we will send a Mother’s Day Memorial card acknowledging your donation in memory of a specific person, to the person to whom you would like the card sent.
