Answer: Women’s Education – Women’s Empowerment is the 2012 theme. This theme pays tribute to the millions of women who have taken action to help create a better world for the times in which they lived, as well as for future generations.

Question: How does someone access and post on the NWHP Blog?
Answer: The NWHP Blog is accessible from our homepage www.nwhp.org. It is toward the top of the right hand side. Click on blog and once inside click on questions and answers and once inside click on Frequently Asked Question.


Question: Do we have permission to use the information on your website www.nwhp.org?
Answer: You are welcome to use all the information posted on the www.nwhp.org site. Please credit the site whenever possible. If you want to print a copy of any website information that has more than one page, first you need to highlight the entire document and copy it, and then paste it into a word document. This will allow you to print the entire document. In addition to the information on our homepage about the 2011 Theme and 2011 Honorees, there is a lot of information in the Women’s History Month and Resource Center.

Question: How long will it take to receive my order?
Answer: First, check with your Purchasing Department to make sure that the order has already been place. We ship from California within two working days. The rest depends on distance and the mailing option you choose. Even if you are in Maine, it should not take more than 1 week from the time you place the order to the time you receive it.

Question: How do I get the schools in my community to celebrate National Women’s History Month?
Answer: Let them know that March is National Women’s History Month and suggest they visit our website for information and resources. Encourage your local schools to have students write an essay or draw a picture about the theme, "Our History is Our Strength”.

Question: Do you have any suggestions about how to get my local newspaper and radio stations to mention that March is National Women’s History Month?
Answer: The theme for National Women’s History Month 2012 is Women’s Education – Women’s Empowerment. Suggest that a reporter interview women in your community who have been active in community organizations or institutions.  Write a letter to the editor of your local paper explaining the need to celebrate and recognize women's historic contributions and include information about National Women’s History Month and suggestions of specific women from the community to interview. Answer: Invite a woman from history to be at your celebration program. See the NWHP listings of Women's History Performers and Authors and Presenters. There may be a performer in your community that you can plan a special program with or one of the listed National Performers can travel across the country to be at your event. Invite a special speaker. See the NWHP listings of  Authors and Presenters or Our Distinguished Speakers Bureau these presenters can make history come alive with their intellect and enthusiastic presentation about a specific area of women’s History.
